Dreamtide explores the interplay between recorded soundscapes and live musical expression, blending pre-recorded compositions with the immediacy of live violin performance. Utilizing DPA speakers, the piece creates an immersive auditory experience where past and present harmonize in real time.

The project takes inspiration from the moment between wakeness and sleep, when one is on the verge of falling asleep and the conscious and subconscious mix together, blurring the boundaries between thoughts and dreams.

The violin is the protagonist of the piece, with multiple elements and melodies layered on top of each other, creating both purposeful and aleatoric combinations, reflecting the different layers of the mind and emotions merging into each other, creating a surreal, dreamlike artistic experience.
